A K Rohit of Andhra Pradesh bagged a double by winning both the singles and doubles title in the boys category of the AITA Under-12 Talent Series Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Puri Club courts in Puri today.
In the singles final, Rohit toppled top seed Nishant Kumar of Bihar 6-3, 6-2. In the doubles summit clash, Rohit and his AP statemate Sandeep Saroj Pedada beat Nishant Kumar and Sarthak Deoras (CG) 6-4, 3-6, 10-8.
Organised by Orissa Tennis Association, the three-day tournament, however, suffered a setback as the girls` events were cancelled due to insufficient entries. In the boys` category Orissa`s challenge ended in the quarterfinals.
Veteran tennis players S S Mohapatra, B N Mohapatra gave away the prizes in the presence of Puri Club secretary Raju Patra, tournament referee Subhransu Charan Sarangi and organising secretary Harihar Guru.
